WHO IS AEL BERKMAN?
The Berkman group was founded in 1903. Established in The Netherlands as an energy and coal provider, Berkman Energy service became the starting platform for what has grown from a family business into a global entity.
Established in 1998, AEL-Berkman Forwarding (HK) Ltd. started off as a joint venture between two highly experienced and professional freight forwarding organizations. With a combined experience of more than 50 years in this business, AEL Asia Express (HK) Ltd. and Berkman Forwarding B.V ventured together with the objective of developing the China market.
Both companies were joined hand in hand in terms of shares and company philosophy, which made AEL-Berkman Forwarding (HK) Ltd. a highly successful partnership. Berkman now has offices in Shanghai, Qingdao, Ningbo, Xiamen, Shenzhen (China), Hong Kong, Ho Chi Min (Vietnam), Delhi (India) and of course our office in Barendrecht (Netherlands).
Worldwide AEL Berkman is working with a network of professional partners. These consist of companies we have built a strong long lasting relationship with.
AEL Berkman combines the unique qualities of having a solid platform in China partnered with a Western ownership and management structure. This has resulted in a company that understands the needs of Western customers and partners by taking care of their needs in the challenging Chinese market.
